Downtown Beaverton has three night markets now, and only one of them is still running this fall. The summer one wrapped up in August. The one still going is smaller, happens once a month, and is set up at Beaverton Library on SW 5th Street. That market sets the schedule for the rest of October and into November, together with BOOverton, the Farmers Market, and a full run of shows at the Reser.
Three markets, one still on the calendar
When people in Beaverton say "the night market," they usually mean the city's summer event at The Round. They aren't the only one in town, and the other two follow very different schedules.
| Market | Organizer | Format | 2026 status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Beaverton Night Market | City of Beaverton Diversity Advisory Board | Annual, free summer cultural market at The Round with globally inspired food, crafts, art, music and dance | Held Aug. 8. No fall date. |
| Legendary Makers Market | Asian American Town, with City support | Two-day Asian American-centered night market at The Round and the Reser | Last confirmed edition July 12–13, 2025. Organizer says it is pausing. |
| Everything Funky: Neighborhood Night Market | Beaverton Downtown Association | Monthly themed market with local vendors, food trucks, live music, family activities | Running this fall, with a Nov. 14 date on the books |
The Beaverton Valley Times covered the August market as a cultural celebration, and that's the version most people know. According to Beaverton Beat, the Everything Funky series is the newest of the three and is smaller on purpose. It leans toward local vendors and family entertainment instead of a cultural showcase.
On the Downtown Association's series page, the 2026 themes run monthly. There was a Back-to-School market Sept. 5, a Stranger Things edition in October, and a Harvest & Holiday market Nov. 14. Every one runs 5 to 9:30 p.m. and costs nothing to get in.
The October date, and why to check it
The Downtown Association's own pages disagree on the Stranger Things market date. The event's own page says Saturday, Oct. 24, 5 to 9:30 p.m., at Beaverton Library, 12375 SW 5th St., and the Association's Oct. 24 calendar listing agrees. The series overview, though, still says Oct. 10.
Beaverton Beat caught the mismatch on Oct. 6. It reported that the event page went up Sept. 30 and told readers to check with the Association before heading out. Both the event page and the dated calendar say Oct. 24. Still, a quick look at the Association's site that week costs nothing.
If the Oct. 24 date holds, the market will have vendors selling handmade goods, art and vintage finds, plus food trucks, live music, pumpkin painting for kids, a haunted maze and raffle prizes. A costume contest open to kids, teens, adults and families starts at 7 p.m.
A Saturday night and a Sunday afternoon, one after the other
Moving the Stranger Things market to Oct. 24 puts it the night before BOOverton, the Downtown Association's daytime Halloween event. BOOverton runs Sunday, Oct. 25, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at 12255 SW 1st St. Downtown businesses hand out candy, run activities, or set up tables in the commons. The Association's page puts the kids' activities in an area it calls "The Dinnings," along with a pumpkin carving contest fundraiser.
So the same costume could get worn twice downtown in less than a day: Saturday evening at the library, then Sunday afternoon on 1st Street. The two events are pitched differently. The night market is an evening of shopping with music and a contest. BOOverton is daytime trick-or-treating built for young kids and their parents.
Saturday the 24th is busy across the rest of the district too. A roundup of Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District events for October lists Pumpkin Bob at Harman Swim Center that day. It also lists a free Diwali Bazaar at Conestoga Recreation & Aquatic Center from noon to 7 p.m. At the Reser, Uncle Jumbo goes on at 2 p.m. that afternoon.
The Reser fills in the weeknights
From mid-October through Halloween, there's a show at the Reser almost every few days. Here's the 2026–27 season through Oct. 31:
- Oct. 15, 7:30 p.m. Flor de Toloache
- Oct. 16, 7:30 p.m. Seffarine
- Oct. 24, 2 p.m. Uncle Jumbo
- Oct. 29, 7:30 p.m. National Geographic Live: Wild Wolves of Yellowstone
- Oct. 30, 7:30 p.m. The American Story Live
- Oct. 31, 7:30 p.m. Liberace and Liza
On the weekend between, Oct. 17–18, the Downtown Association calendar lists Washington County's Open Studios Tour. It's a free, self-guided tour of 50 artists' studios.
Halloween lands on a market Saturday
This year Oct. 31 falls on a Saturday, so Halloween is also a Farmers Market day. The Beaverton Farmers Market has it on the 2026 event calendar. The market says its events often spill into the adjacent City Park and Beaverton City Library, which puts this Halloween Saturday right next door to where the night market sets up the Saturday before. Market hours are 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Some Halloween-morning options are outside downtown. Beaverton City Library's Kids Costume Parade is at the Murray Scholls Branch, 11 a.m. to noon, for ages 2 to 8 with family. The Cedar Hills Recreation Center Fall Festival runs 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Liberace and Liza closes the night at the Reser.
Where to eat between events
BOOverton's address is on SW 1st Street, and so are two of the restaurants listed in the Downtown Association's directory. The Downtown Association's directory lists Koya Sushi at 12570 SW 1st St. and 1st Street Pocha at 12590 SW 1st St., Suite B. The Association also has a longer list of spots within walking distance of the commons. It includes Bluto's, Fly Chai, Lionheart, Lazy Days Brewing, Loyal Legion, June, Ate-Oh-Ate, Top Burmese, La Floridita and Syndicate.
The biggest food news downtown this year is Salami Mammi. The Italian deli opened Thursday, July 16, at 12500 SW Broadway St., according to Eater Portland. Bridgetown Bites reported in June that the team behind Don's Favorite Foods would open it in Don's old space, with Don's moving to another spot in Beaverton. It's a good place to stop for lunch on a market Saturday.
Over at Beaverton Central Garage, 12695 SW Crescent St., Lumiere Bakery and Kulfi were announced as tenants. Neither had an opening date in the coverage we found. A city urban renewal update dated May 12 said Fabo's Tacos and Tequila was close to finishing its Suite 140 space. We couldn't confirm an opening date, so treat all three as announced, not open.
Getting downtown while the transit center is torn up
If you're taking the bus or MAX, Beaverton Transit Center at 4050 SW Lombard Ave. is in the middle of a remodel. The plans call for larger shelters, accessibility and lighting upgrades, digital signs and bus chargers. The Beaverton Valley Times reported that TriMet will keep the center open during construction, which started in spring and is expected to run through spring 2027. Plan on construction around the shelters through every event this season.
After Halloween, the library market keeps going
Clocks fall back Nov. 1, the day after the Farmers Market's Halloween Saturday. That makes the Harvest & Holiday Night Market on Saturday, Nov. 14, the first Everything Funky market after the time change. It runs the same 5 to 9:30 p.m. at the library address.
A week after that, the Farmers Market closes its summer and fall season on Nov. 21. This year the market also ran a Winter Market on Saturdays in February and March, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., though it hasn't posted 2027 dates yet. In between, the Beaverton Area Chamber has a Winter Market at Winter Lights on Friday, Dec. 4, in the Farmers Market parking lot. That's a separate Chamber event, not part of the Farmers Market's own season.
That puts something on the downtown calendar between the library, City Park, the Farmers Market lot and 1st Street just about every couple of weeks from now through early December. For more on the area, see our Beaverton neighborhood page.
